I Will Sell Your Stuff on Ebay!
Terms of Contract
1. The owner states that they own the merchandise (items) free of any liens and has the full rights to sell or otherwise dispose of them. In accordance with this agreement, the owner grants the Computer Whisperer an exclusive right to sell the item(s) on eBay®, the online auction website with the following terms:
2. Acceptance of any item for sale will be at The Computer Whisperer’s sole discretion.
3. The Computer Whisperer will start the auction(s) and handle all aspects of the sale including correspondence with bidders, accepting payments, but not including mailing/shipping of the item. This will be the full responsibility of the owner, and must be carried out in a timely manner after the auction’s conclusion. Payment will be forwarded to the owner after the item is received by the buyer.
4. Payment for items sold will be available upon receipt of the item by the buyer. All fees will be deducted before payment is processed. Payment methods are check or Paypal transfer.
5. The Computer Whisperer cannot guarantee that the owner’s items will sell.
6. Once the item is agreed to be sold and the item is listed on Ebay, this is a firm contract. The seller cannot decide that they no longer wish to sell the item once a bid has been placed. If the item becomes unavailable or its condition changes before a bid is placed, the owner MUST contact The Computer Whisperer immediately so that the auction can be withdrawn.
7. Fees and Commissions
Ebay & Paypal Fees
1. The Computer Whisperer does not charge for creating the listing webpage or working the photos of the item.
2. Listing fee for most items is 3$. This covers the auction being listed and is billable to the owner regardless of whether the item sells or not.
3. 5 or 7 day auction, owner’s choice.
4. Owner must supply via email pictures of the item. There is a fee of .15 cents per picture attached to the listing beyond the first. More pictures bring more potential buyers.
5. Ebay final value fees are 12% of the first 50$, 6% of 50.01 to 1000.01, and 2% of the remainder. For example, on a $45,000 auction, final value fee will be about $1000.
6. Paypal fees are 2.9% +.030. On a $45,000 sell price, Paypal fee will be $1275.21.
7. The owner is responsible for all Exchange fees, as auctions sell in US Dollars. If the Canadian Dollar is above parity at auction’s end, exchange fees will be deducted from payment to the Owner. If the Canadian Dollar is below parity at auction’s end, exchange monies will be added to Owner’s payment.
Note: The Computer Whisperer commission on the final sale price of each auction lot (item) is fixed at 7% of the selling price BEFORE fees are removed. On a $45,000 sale, my commission would be $3150.
